Review: Well this really gave me a feel for how chaotic and terrible actual battles in WWII really were. The opening scene was probably the best in the whole movie, with the troops landing at Normandy. For all the realism of the battle scenes, however, the plot just didn’t quite carry the punch it should have. I saw this movie just two weeks ago, and already much of it is hard for me to remember. The acting was effective, the costuming and scenery was convincing, and I really don’t have any specific complaints. I enjoyed the movie, but it just didn’t stick with me the way some movies do.
