Greetings to all, and I hope you had a good holiday season, whichever holidays you celebrate. If you happened to not celebrate any holidays, for pete’s sake, MAKE SOME UP! They’re far too much fun to live without :) My suggestion is to make sure it involves lots of food and presents :)
Well 2000 is over and the bug didn’t eat me. Not that I thought it would. My son started school, and the bug didn’t eat him either. My husband’s company was bought out by Earthlink, so unless Earthlink IS the bug, it didn’t eat him either. So far he enjoys working for Earthlink, especially since he gets to work from home two days a week. I like that part, too :)
2001 promises to be an exciting year. I’ve launched a new website, http://www.vegetarianstuff.com for one thing. For another thing, this summer, we’re going to Europe! We’re concentrating on England, Scotland, and Ireland, but we may run about a bit if the mood strikes us. We’re trying to avoid any kind of strict planning, we want to feel free to do whatever comes up. I’ve been to Europe once, but I was 13 and it was for only 10 days (England, France, Spain) and my husband has never been… so it will be a great adventure.
I’ve been adding things to my website slowly but surely, but I’ve slacked off on my “new” page that lets you know about them. I need to be spanked. I’ll try to be better about it in the future. In addition, my “table of contents” page is sorely out of date, and getting unwieldy anyway. I need to develop a new system. Maybe I’ll go with a sort of yahoo-style hierarchy… I wonder if there is a script I could implement to do that easily? I’ll have to look.
Coming soon for my cam: robotic controls! Yes, I’m getting one of those cool robotic mounts that lets the person on the web page control the camera’s pan & tilt. I’d have it already but they’re out of stock. This will be for cam 2, which is being upgraded from the crappy Zoom camera to a 3Com one like cam1. Cam 1 will continue to be controlled by ME. Me me me! I control it! I AM IN CONTROL! MUAAHAHAH..ha….huh..eh..cough. Sorry. World Domination is a bit overwhelming at times. Goes to one’s head. One even begins to refer to oneself in the third person. How embarrassing!
