The Results Show

Intro – I wasn’t impressed with the group dance. It was a hip hop routine that wasn’t terribly in sync most of the time. The parts where they were in the dark with the glowing stripes on their sleeves were pretty cute though.

Cat’s hair is in a huge rat’s nest behind that big wad of stuff in her hair, though she is again wearing a flattering dress! Is this a new trend? I’m not sure I can wrap my head around the idea of Cat-In-Non-Hideous-Clothing. Nigel, on the other hand, is wearing a horrible tie.

Voting Results

Comfort and Thayne – are in the bottom three, unsurprisingly.

Katee and Joshua – Joshua is wearing a very silly hat. It’s sitting way up high on his head, like he has a melon balance on his head and the hat on top of that. It looks stupid. Nevertheless, they’re safe.

Jessica and Will – are in the bottom three (due to Mia’s nasty remarks last night?)

Chelsie and Mark – are safe.

Courtney and Gev – are safe.

Kherington and Twitch – are in the bottom three.

Time Filling Dance

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performs. It’s three men in black pants and no shirts. It’s actually pretty damned cool. These guys have some amazing moves. Wow. (Plus, holy crap are they in good shape!) They get a standing ovation from the whole audience, deservedly.

Solos! Dancing For Their Lives

Comfort – she’s mostly just running around in rhythm. I’m not impressed.

Thayne – It is a very graceful and fluid contemporary dance. I thought it was good.

Jessica – The dance is nice, but her dress is awful. It’s got the waistline under the boobs that makes her look like she has a big huge waist, and it has this really wide pluging neckline that made me worry her boobs were going to fly out at any minute.

Will – He looks like he’s the fourth member from the Alvin Ailey group. Both in fitness and in style. It was amazing.

Kherington – There was a lot of passion and energy in her solo. I think it was the best of the girls’ solos.

Twitch – Neat dance! I liked the conductor character and the tails coat, and there was some very clever choreography. He moved really well with the nuances of the music.

I think Thayne and Comfort are going home.

Time Filling Song

Katie Perry…who I’ve never heard of. She’s singing a song “I Kissed A Girl” which is kind of humorous and cute. Her voice sounds a little…strange? to me. Like she’s off key or something. She isn’t a very good stage performer… she looks very awkward and uncomfortable.

Judging Results

The girls: Nigel says that Kherington has grown tremendously and she is safe. Surprisingly he liked Comfort’s solo a lot (huh?) and didn’t like Jessica’s (which I thought was pretty good)… He said that since Jessica has consistently had a really great dance for every meh one, they’re keeping her and sending Comfort home.

The guys: Nigel says he is glad that Twitch was in the bottom three because it wakes people up and reminds them to vote, plus we get to see his solo and his originality. He is safe. He calls Will forward and makes the same comparison that Dan and I made to each other, that he looked like he’d be in place with the Alvin Ailey group. He is safe. He calls Thayne forward and says that they wish they could have kept all three guys and sent two girls home tonight (ouch!!) and that they are very sorry to lose Thayne.
